Food & Drink

If you’re spending the day on the beach you can opt for lunch brought to the beach. Choose from:

Warming homemade soup and crusty bread, with flapjack to follow. Warms the cockles of your heart and sets you up for the afternoon.

A mountain of French bread sandwiches, stacked out with fillings, hot coffee and chocolate brownie. Sticks to your insides like grip-fill!

BBQ / Braai

We do a mean BBQ at the Boat Shed. Mike being South African was brought up to the smell of braai, and Paula, a qualified nutritionist, is fairly obsessed with good food. That and our love of socialising means we’ve mastered the art of the slick BBQ. We use only the best ingredients, everything is hand made or locally sourced. The steak from our local butchers is divine, locally reared and deliciously tender. If you prefer burgers, we make them ourselves. All served with a variety of fresh and tasty salads.

Vegetarians can choose from bbq halloumi or homemade veggie burgers.

For afters we serve up our deluxe banoffi pie, or our ‘not be trifled with trifle’.

We’re happy to discuss alternative menus and do a potjie starter or fire pit potjie casserole as a main course. All weird and wonderful dietary requirements can be catered for. (Gluten / dairy free, veggie, vegan, paleo)

Wine / beer & other booze

If you don’t want the hassle of organising your choice of quaffables, we’ll do it for you. Whether it’s a cask of real ale from one of our local breweries, a few bottles of wine and fizz for celebrating in style or a sleazy six pack of special brew and a stretcher let us know, we’ve got it covered.
